I have always been interested in health and fitness, but it became my passion when my husband was diagnosed with cancer over 10 years ago. I wanted to learn everything I could to aid his recovery and help his body counteract the invasive treatments he was undergoing.
I took a long look at my lifestyle and researched how important both diet and exercise were in achieving long term health and wellness. What we eat can either help or hinder our bodies and I realised I had been eating all the wrong things. My exercise regime wasn’t as effective as it could have been, and I wasn’t making my health a priority. This is when I decided I wanted to take the first step in becoming a health and fitness professional and gained my personal trainer certification.
I started making small changes in my daily routine, and gradually became completely plant based. Even though I was eating more I started to lose weight, my body was functioning properly, I was sleeping better, and I felt amazing! I had more energy to exercise and stepped up my workouts. I helped my husband recover after his treatments had ended and created a health and fitness program that incorporated everything I had learned.
I discovered how a positive change in lifestyle can help manage the stress in our lives, help us to rest, relax and sleep well. I have seen clients gain body confidence and finally feel happy in their own skin. Working with me isn't just about looking good on the outside but feeling amazing on the inside. I have been in the health and fitness industry since 2012 and am a Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Health Coach with the American Council on Exercise (ACE).
I am a Certified Plant-Based Professional with the Rouxbe Culinary School. I am also a Certified Nutrition Instructor with FiTour and graduate of the Plant Fed Gut Masterclass.
I recognise that we are all individuals with different needs and requirements based on our work, family and social lives. Every client at Rock PT Fitness receives a personalized health and wellness plan based on your individual needs-I don't do one size fits all programs!
I only take on a limited number of clients at a time to ensure you receive the focus and attention that you deserve. I conduct initial and ongoing assessments, and work behind the scenes between each session, planning and evaluating, to ensure your ongoing success. Most importantly I want to make sure you enjoy your program and have fun!
I offer a variety of tools, advice and support during your program. I take the time to get to know you personally and you will be interacting with me directly, either in person, via the internet or on the phone.
I am flexible with my platforms and can work with FaceTime, Zoom, Whatsapp, whatever is most convenient for you. I check in regularly with texts and emails between sessions, so you will always feel supported and connected!
I go wherever you do! I offer all of my services online, so you can take me with you on vacation, business travel or if you just don't want to leave the house. My services are of the same high quality online as they would be in person.
